"Alison Atkins bodies are female. Ahh, her girls in blues and pinks, pastels blushing. It's springtime in the Rockies. In "School Days" two young children and a pooch, on a hill not in school but in school clothes. One lass with a not - so - tactic smile and one hidden under the shadowy brim of her hat; Ha springtime! "Party Girl" sweeps and dashes, pastels and lipstick."
- Kent Wallace, Art Speak New York
"Alison is one of Houston's most promising young painters. Her work has been compared to some of the leading American post - impressionists."
- The Houston Post
"Mostly Alison paints people alone or in groups capturing them unaware in all the nakedness of their humanity. Some are happy, some are sad, some frightened others threatening. A room full of her art reveals a broad spectrum of human emotions."
- Anne Neville, The Shreveport Journal
